Marissa DiPronio (b.1989) is a Cincinnati-based composer of new music currently pursuing a doctorate in music composition from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she also teaches courses in electronic music composition. Previously, she also studied at the University of South Florida, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in both music composition and piano performance. Primarily interested in both percussion and electronic mediums, her works focus on timbre, space, color, and rhythmic complexity. Her electronic compositions have been featured on notable EA festivals such as Electronic Music Midwest, the SEAMUS festival, and the New York City Electronic Music Festival.
